Actually...
It has little to do with intelligence. Most employers are simply too afraid of the increase in insurance premiums should they hire me. Put another way, I have such high medical expenses - my recent hospitalization cost $105,000, and that's just for the hospital fees - that few employers could afford to hire me. They will find a way around the law if they have to.

But you are a very intelligent woman!  A company would be lucky to have you on its team!

I don't have a resume either
But that's because I'm someone that's hard to hire. Although there are laws out there protecting the disabled from job discrimination, that doesn't change the way people feel about hiring the disabled, and so I'm prepared to get a lot of rejection should the need for a job arise.

I've just got back into contact with a friend I haven't seen for years. She is looking for a job after 15 years and has no idea of how to write resumes and letters these days. I've sent her copies of mine so she can do some copying.

It's a very expensive place to live.  Everything is marked up because of the shipping costs.  Of course, what I don't get is why products made or grown here is often more expensive than in the mainland states.  Like mac nuts.  They're actually cheaper on the mainland!!!  Lucky thing I don't really like mac nuts.

Hawaii is an expensive place to live, isn't it? I have a nephew who plans
to move there in the fall.  He says he'll live on the beach and eat coconuts if he has to.
