Tasel-T, you have so very valid arguments!

Flightpath, I understand your thoughts, but sometimes, you have to ask yourself is it worth the price we are a country are having to pay -- I am not sure I can say yes!

Thank you Limey, that was a very enlightening point!

Zenresistence,
The Dennis Miller comment can only be made by an asshole who has never been forced to take shit! There are people who willingly "spread" shit and I count Dennis Miller among them!

Tapsel-T,
I like the way you addressed the nature of evil in all people in your comment. And it tells a lot about power! It can only be neutralized by more power. Strange lot we human beings?

fun with misery
People lov a train wreck. Why? Because usually they're not the ones in it. As Dennis Miller said, "It's a pretty good feeling to know that there are people out there who are forced to eat way more shit than we are." I think that's got a lot of truth to it. Most people really do feel powerless in their lives. Their jobs, their relationships, money, kids, etc. can all be really, really mind-numbing and depressing, and so sometimes it can bring a smile to our face when someone (usually whom we dislike) steps in a great big pile of... Life.

As is the case with so many other things, it's ego.

readywriter, it seems to me that the exploitation of and the reveling in the miseries of others is the dark side of the human race.   It is the lowest of attributes of a human being.   It is in the make up of each of us and we  have to recognize that and work on subjugating that trait and rising above it to become the best that we can be.   There are some who do not see it as a bad thing.   For some, it is the only way to feel good about themselves.   For some, it simply involves greed.   It has always been with us and it always will be.

Pity those who chain themselves to narrow hate diatribes.

FLIGHTPATH,

"Dictator living in splendor"? Let see is the address 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500?

Readywriter55 - Schools built, small businesses growing, meaningfull elections,etc.,. in Iraq now - the progress list is very, very long; yet, we hear little or nothing of it. The price of freedom is not cheap. It takes time to evolve from iron fist rule to freedom. It always does. Is it worth it? Of course! - unless you prefer to live in chains, subdued and afraid, while the dictator lives in splendor.

Readywriter55,
Then the next question to you is: Why? And do you believe Negroes have tails? It does not hurt you to be misled but the injustice to others is real! Only the victims are legally bound to respond!

Glennb, I will always believe in my heart, that Hussein had something to do with it, even if it is just supporting the terrorist financially -- and by the way, someday the truth will be reveal about who now has th WMD.

Readywriter55,

What are you talking about! Can you really be that stupid? What did Iraq have to do with Ameirca getting attacked? Answer that question please before you go off on this fit of ignorance.

Scoop, I am afraid you are right -- this war simply was not worth the cost in any form or fashion, although you do have to give the benefit of the doubt, it may have stoppped another attack on our country, but only God knows that!

Sit back and look at the whole picture and ask yourself this

"What did we get ourselves really into?"

Was the invasion because of the "war on terror", WMD, why?

Look at the photos from Abu Grahib taken by MP's not trained to work in prison conditions.

The story about the Koran by Newsweek to get suspected 9/11 terrorists to talk.

Now pictures of Saddam.

And now just this week military officials are saying we may be in Iraq for years.

It is time for people to wake up and start questioning this more.

Everyday since the invasion, which went against the UN, we the USA, are looking more stupid then ever to the World.
