A swamp cooler is more generally known as evaportive cooler. Used in dry climates ist's basicly a fan surrounded by wet pads. Air flows around the pads evoporating the water and making things cooler. ours are on the roof. Hope I've explained that right...
anybody else do it better?

Excuse my gross dumbness. What is a swamp cooler? Where are you that
so much nature is around you and what do you do? I understand none of this is my business and you may not want to answer any of it, but at least the first one please.

I think people chow comes from the instant food from tin cans or ready to eat food.

Whacky, when I was in the mountains above Santa Fe, NM, used to see hummingbird nests in the connifers with teeny tiny baby birds. It was so neat. Never ever have I seen a roadrunner nest though. Do they make nests?

Whacky,
I've been following this roadrunner thing. I have never seen one in person. Too bad she's not around lately. Maybe the hummingbird was flying in her face and annoyed her til she moved so she could have her nest there. Obviously your house is prime real estate for birds. They're actually fighting over it!

Hey Wacky...
..this was a great read! I just love hummingbirds but rarely see them. When we were in Arizona they were incredible..so many different colours! I've never had one that close to me though! And I love the idea of people chow!!! Imagine how easy to just pour your daily food from a bag!LOL

How funny - my younger dog ate a couple of tea bags a fwe weeks ago and he was even more of a terror than usual! You know, I always wanted Wile E. Coyote to eat that damn roadrunner.
