Thanks, teddypoet. I'm a big proponent of the search for extraterrestrial
intelligence (since there isn't any here...uh...is this mike on?). Even if it were proven that no extraterrestrial life exists, I believe that the hope that there is that it conveys to many of us is as uplifting to us as a species as the thought of an afterlife.

No, I don't think that we are the only beer-swilling, dart-throwing, woo-pitching species spinning around a particular corner of the universe...fascinating stuff, the theories, speculations; certainly the hope that others, whatever physical form and degree of thought process be the norm of (their) world(s), are "out there"... Excellent post!

Saul I do, I have followed it and there are some places in NY
like the Pine Bush area of Orange county in southern NY is very big with reports.
