I like that quote from the Talmud too. It really sums it up.

Hallelujah! could not agree more. We will never find anything outside of ourselves
except confirmation for that which we have already found within! Truth resonates...and resonates loudly when we hear it. Thank you!

there's a passage in the Talmud.
The golden rule is quoted:
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
then is is stated, "This go learn; the rest is but commentary."
Boy do I like that.
The essence of religion is living the Golden Rule.
You are right. Reading is good -- it gives us something to think about; but experiencing is far superior.
The valid person can reach a true spirituality through living and not absorbing a jot or tittle of instruction.

I like that - "books are like logs on the fire of love". What a great description.

You're absolutely right. But it is fun to think about and read about.

yes! But the books are like logs on the fire of Love... I sit in the morning and read books about God to God - and learn more that way than any other way... my books are my dearest friends - we sit around and talk of God! smile... good post

we have to give up our belief in God to experience God.

Reincarnation is something
that has a sensical aspect to it, and yet is quite puzzling to contend with.
