Temple,
You're right. Well, I wouldn't want to break with an ancient blogging tradition. Misinterpretation is one of the most important traditions here. And I have been trying to break with ancient traditions. What a fool I have been.

I think she meant Stonci was being crotchety ;)
Spif, Scrapper gets like that. She pulled a muscle hiding from the people who were doing some kind of maintenance or something, it seems to me it was a delivery, really loud and I was at work. I literally had no money to pay the vet and I didn't know what to do. After a while, I wasn't sure if that was it and I watched her....she was fine. Sometimes she's just a grandma. :)

Spif,
You're not crotchity. That's not the same as worrying about furry babies. Crotchity is a whole 'nother matter.

JJ,
She seems to be okay; just being a crotchety old woman, is all.

Spiff,
When I gave you the comment, I did it with the assumption that you knew most of that stuff. Otherwise I wouldn't have put it that way. Sorry if I almost freaked you out. I don't know how easy Blood Pressure is to test in a dog, but I think it's something that doesn't get done very often, even at a lot of Vet clinics. Maybe they do it more often than I realize, but in an older dog I think it should be watched. If she's acting better, it's probably just heat and fatigue. Dog radiators aren't very efficient, especially in humidity. luv...

JJ,
Thanks. Luckily, I am aware of vet med issues! If not, you probably would have totally freaked me out with that last comment! I think she's okay. So far, she's been eating and she played with Lindsey earlier in the day so I'm assuming she's feeling better. She just seems to be a crotchity old woman and a jealous one, too. I have new pics to post of such evidence!!

OBP,
Thanks. Me too. She's such a sweet soul but she's been obviously different since Brittany died.

Her does look depressed or something. She really isn't that old, I sure hate to hear about these things. It's got to be real hard on you. God I hope she will be okay..

spiffy,
Keep a close eye on her. And keep Lindsey from getting her worked up as much as you can. Be sure she drinks enough, even if you have to give her something special, but don't overdo that. I'm sure you already know all of that.
It wouldn't hurt to take her in. Be sure to get a BP check. I think running around with the puppy has been hard on her in a number of ways, and your new humid heat hasn't helped.
Our Sammy, a Labrador male Sweetest Don on Earth, started playing with Casey when she was a pup. He got the same way. He had some other problems that probably contributed, but I think his BP was elevated from the running around that he wasn't used to. He started to barf blood.... I can't tell the rest. Get her checked.

Thanks Rach.
She ate today and played a little. I gave her a Rimadyl (for arthritis pain/anti-inflammatory) cause Lindsey bites at her hind legs which I think gets to her after a while. We'll see. Poor girl!

Factor,
I think Lindsey is just concerned that Stonci won't play with her!

Hopefully she's just tired from playing hard...
I'd take her in, too. Better to know what's going on, especially if it's something that can be fixed!

Stonci looks like I do when I have a stomachache...
It's cute how Lindsey looks so concerned...

She's probably just worn out, or maybe it summer coming on...
Maybe you should take her in tomorrow to see if she needs anything, just in case. I hope she's okay.
