I love colored file folders.
I was always organized beyond belief. That doesn't mean people got the system, mind you. I used to keep every pair of shoes I owned under the bed. I could put my hand underneath and grab that right pair. My mom moved them one day to the proper place in the closet. I was lost.
I think of organization now a lot like when your computer crashes. How often have you lost stuff you would wail and lament over. Then, months later, you really had no idea what it was. A good computer crash is like housecleaning to me.
Clutter is one thing---having too much unimportant stuff that takes up space in your house and mind is quite another. I took a new job and haven't gotten to getting a good system down. I feel lost. I hate that I don't know where things are. That's chaotic and dysfunctional. Now, when I'm at home and have organized chaos, that's different.
If it hinders you, it's a problem. Otherwise, it's just a pile.

Good luck. I know what works for me is taking fifteen minutes at the end of every day and just dumping papers into various files as I cross my fingers that my boss doens't ask me about them..on second thought....

Good luck Success!
I too find that organizing a room..particularly where I write, is like getting a new lease on everything. I love the overhauls! It does the psyche very well! And Success..did you reach your writing goals for the week? I just posted the results..thanks!! :)
