If invading a foreign nation is a crime under the rule of law . . .
. . . then Saddam was a criminal, no? And since he was a criminal, who was going to bring him to justice?

Writeroflight,
You could have shut me up if you had mentioned the Klu Klux Klan! But you didn't and possibly blew your cover! So I will continue to maintain that invading a foreign nation is a crime under the rule of law! As for your statement about the government of Iraq harboring and funding terrorist, they are false!
I have said it before: The troops are in Iraq dying, killing Arabs because an insane moron ordered them there! They will stay there until a sane person orders them back home! So stop with the moral crap! Soldiers have no choice under the Bush Doctrine! You cannot be a serious and competent human being!

Great comments!
Starting at the top: Scoop, you’re right, Senator Hagel is a Vietnam vet. Given that, I have a couple of questions for you and him alike as veterans. First, what effect do you think such public proclamations as his will have on the morale of the men and women who are actually fighting the war? Perhaps they can simply brush it off like they did Michael Moore’s ravings, but do you think that having a senator back home public calling their service a losing effort is harmful to their morale? And second, do you think my concerns about such comments from within our government inspiring our enemies are legitimate or not? Why or why not?
As are all of us, Hagel is free to oppose the war and disagree with the President. That’s not the issue. The issue is the idiotic statements being made in disagreement. You can disagree without saying things that put your own people in jeopardy by demoralizing them and inspiring their enemies.
And another for you, Scoop: What have you to say about the Democrats doing exactly what you condemn the Republicans for doing – toeing the party line and playing the “dumbass puppet”?
Glenn, you must be a heck of an entrepeneur, what with all these money-making schemes you come up with. As far as being a terrorist in one’s own house goes, two things: Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols of Oklahoma City infamy are our classic examples. And the terrorists themselves are bragging about how many Iraqis are thronging to blow themselves up. Nonetheless, the record is clear that Saddam was sheltering, training and funding terrorists who attacked elsewhere, primarily Israel, and now most of the terrorists who are blowing up Iraqi civilians
Flightpath, I hope you’re right. I really wonder if we as a nation have the courage to fight and win a war. To judge by the nincompoops in Congress, I truly wonder.
Twodog, you’re barking up the right tree. That is precisely what I try to do. Hard to type all this stuff with both thumbs in the dike, though.

Because Chuck Hagel, a Vietnam vet I believe, does not lock-step
with the other little Repubs, you consider him a "a republican in name only", what is that some liberal/conservative statement? That is why as a Republican I am getting disgusted with the party. I want a politician to say what he thinks by putting information, documents, trips to the war zone, etc. I don't want a dumbass puppet to keep saying, "Yes Mr. President, No Mr. President, Stay the course Mr. President." To many Republicans are being led around by a ring in their nose. It is pathetic.

Writeroflight,
You and Kingmi have a deal with Hewlett Packard on computer screens! I cannot believe it took you four days to come back with this crap! It makes good fiction though! Americans are doing all kinds of strange things to get through this administration, including you writing this dodo!
It is too hard to respond to this! I am still wondering how an Iraqi can be a terrorist in his own house! Bush has really got a lot more selling of that notion before I can let go of my nose!

Writeroflight...worst of all, the behavior of the radical, as well as the not so radical left, provide fuel for terrorist propaganda. While this makes the task at hand more difficult, I think that Bush will stay the course with courage and determination.

Uh oh, Another Stupid, Wrong Headed, Nazi, War Crime Commiting ...Uh ...
Keep at it kid, you are right on point, and I mean, right ... on ... point. If enough of us tell the truth, demand the truth, if the liberals are capable of recognizing the difference between truth and lies, perhaps, like th kid with his thumb in the dike, we can hold back the tide of self hate, hate for the country, and hate for the concept of, there is a consiquence for our words and actions.
