I think we in the blogosphere must continue to hold such people as DeLay to account, whether or not the national media does. I feel that so many otherwise good people have been drawn into the pathetic (and pathological)polarization mentality which is so dominant today. Intolerance, inflexibility, and outright bigotry masquerade as faith, "our right to speak", and "God's love". I'm not a believer in the god of institutionalized religion, but if there is such an entity, and it approves of what these extremists seem to believe is the only way to live, then please, may I never meet it.
