Spiff,
Better get some ear tiedowns in case any winds from the hurricane come around. I think if you go to the small aircraft area at the airport they have tiedowns there.
The territorial thing between her and Stonci is interesting. I guess Lindsey's Big Sis is teaching the ''Little Brat'' some manners. Casey, the one I sent the pic of, is quite the little disciplinarian with Jesse, the big Yellow Lab Mix (female). I think she gets more pleasure out of being the disciplinarian than anything else she does. A little too much, actually. Sheriff Joe is going to come over looking for the dog fight parlor.
Nice pictures and post. I know all about the foot in the eye/face thing. Their paw pads get like gravel-grit sandpaper.

My daughter has a new pup, a Lancashire Heeler.
I'm posting Cooper's picture for you in my Roving Eye blog... He is the only 'official' Lancashire Heeler in Washington State, one of 40 in the US. Very popular small breed in England, though, and believe it or not, this little fellow comes from a long line of working dogs--shepherds use them. They've got some Corgi ancestry in there somewhere, which might account for that.

Sweet freaking Moses on a toasted hard roll!
Another two inches and you're gonna have to put aircraft warning lights on that dawg's ears!

David,
I'm really not sure what it was, but the music had certain tones in the songs that piqued her interest.

Hemlocker,
Actually, the squirrels that you see in the side-bar pics are of my regular rehabbed squirrels. The one on the chair eating the Fruit Loop was named Krunchie. I loved him so much. I still miss him. He does still live in the trees of my backyard and throws sticks and acorns at me when I'm out on the pool deck. I did happen to have a Flying Squirrel named Stanley. If you look through the archives of this particular animal blog of mine, you'll see and read many stories about my Stan the Flyin' Man.

I love the pictures and your descriptions and...awww, that little squirrel. In the picture with you, she (he?)looks like a flying squirrel; but in the o-so-cute one perched on the chair or couch, I don't know off- hand. Many years ago I worked as a keeper at the Los Angeles Zoo. One of my charges was a flying squirrel. I love almost all animals, but that flying squirrel is my all-time favorite. Hemlocker

Those are some pretty dogs. My cat is always chewing on spiders, and insects and I wonder why he hasn't got sick yet.
