Quirky, LOL. I've had a few negative slips in my work, but nothing as bad as "piece of baby". I generally proof read twice before turning work in for the professors or I'll really get the lash. Shadow

Stuff like that happens all the time, the mind is thinking about something else while the fingers are typing.

Quirky,
LOL...that sound like something you'd find in my work...I'd have written it that way cause there'd have been a baby sitting on my lap and my thoughts would have been divided between what I was writing and the baby...I know I didn't write it...but geez...that's just what you'd find editing me !!!

MayB--
In my non-Blogit writing, I like to have at least a day to let it sit, and two is even better.

Even when I proofread
and over and over again, I often miss something. I find that i have to leave the work alone for a couple of days before i can look at it with a fresh eye. Love, Vib

QuirkyAlone, OK now I clicked again when I saw that we were in an Ariala-free zone. Yes spellcheckers are as big a curse as savior. They do not check for meaning. I only use spellcheck as a final check before I have re-read my work several times. The best thing is to re-read much later when we are fresh and before filing.

i write mine on word....
so it catches misspellings but there have been times when i have posted and then later read it and realized something was NOT right.... thank God i am not as obsessive about them as other writings....

mmm-w,
well, I must confess that I proofread my blog posts too...perhaps not with the same attention to detail...but I hate typos!!

oh my gosh.... thanks for clarification because i read and re-read it, trying to figure out what they could have meant.... too funny! yeah, i am a major proof reader with non-blog/submission work...
