Gosh, May, I hope you are feeling better. You're sounding better so even if the camping with friends just built your spirit back up, I guess that's something. I'm glad you had somewhere to go. Most people hibernate when they get sick, and I think that makes it compound. I'll do a post on the other goofy thing another day. I think it deserves a post because it's definitely a Can You Believe This thing. I know I didn't.

I await the story about the injury sustained while bedridden with interest.
I should have appraised you of the fact that I was not camping. I had been ill for months so I had no notion of camping. You were given that impression because I blogged that I was camping with friends - ie I was staying in their house but not in a permanent sense. In France I did do some outdoor stuff.

With the groundhogs I've seen, I may not be here now to type this if he'd have been there.  I love them, too.  They have chutzpa.    Just last week at my Uncle's, there was a family of about 5 of them.  I had one in my fenced-in yard once.  He didn't have a hole.  He didn't need one.  He took over the dog's house.  The dog (bassett/beagle, no legs) made the mistake of walking close to it one day, and this groundhog came out, stood on its hind legs and looked like he was ready for a boxing match.  Luckily, the dog wasn't sure what to make out of it, and knew he didn't want the doghouse anyway, so he wandered off.  It's sad to see them wandering near the freeway.  I always want to shepherd them back to the woods...like they'd follow me.

The Mike Nesmith thing hasn't gone away yet.  I'll give it a day or two.  I have my headphones on listening to the anthology cd as I type.  Sigh....heavy sigh (which could turn into heavy breathing if I stay at it long enough).
