sobering and a side we rarely (if ever) hear, except when the media has something on thier agenda.

The BBC...
...reported yesterday that around 800 Iraqis a month are being killed by car bombs, snipers, suicide bombers and the like.
I hardly need say that this type and level of violence was unheard of in the days of Saddam. He may not have been a lovely man, and many died at his hands, but at least ordinary Iraqis were safe leaving their homes. At least they had electricity and fresh water. At least they had doctors and hospitals (even if we starved them of drugs).
Sobering post.
