Quirky,

Speaking of posts. I'm like what now? Four days behind. That's what I get for taking time off to be tormented by fleas and children. LOL Heck, I better get busy and write something. Shadow

Quirky,

In case you haven't noticed, I've hardly posted at all the last few days!!...

Joe Love--
Yes...but didn't you read the P.S.--you know, the part where I said I was only kidding??

I agree, Quirky, to an extent
I don't like trying to keep up with a blog that is moving at the speed of light. I like them updated. . , ummm. . , maybe twice a week. And, you're absolutely correctly about looking forward to those blogger's next post.

However, as a lot of people use Blogging as an outlet, the request for fewer posts may be a bit extreme.

Hey Quirkster!
I am a one-a-day poster. (if that) I can only check in once or twice a day so my favorites lose me if they post seventeen times in that period. Maybe I'm not so much a lazy blogger as a lazy reader?

i agree with usual
long posts i just can't read. i've got two boys under 4 and the time away from checking on them would be negligent. i try not to make mine very long for that reason.

What is this "sanity" you speak of?
Post less!!?? My god, woman, have you lost your mind?  Seriously, that would be nice. I try to never post more than once per day so because I, like you, read everyone on my list everyday (or as often as possible) and it can be difficult to keep up if they are marathon posters.  Much easier to take one little chunk at a time. Same goes for REALLY long posts. I want to read, I really do, but make it manageable!  You know? Thanks for your email, btw. That meant a lot.

Ms. Quirky zucchini expert.....I think your post has a point there...
When I post once on the weekend, my posts tend to do better than the daily grind. Maybe you're right?

lol
I actually just went through my favorites and got rid of ten people who aren't blogging anymore, so that made it much less intimidating! But I agree, everyone should just stop posting so much!

Minor correction:

It should be "Whom do I appreciate most here?", because if you were to answer the question, you would not write "I appreciate he [or she or they] most", but "I appreciate him [or her or them] most."

Where he, she or they would be appropriate, use who; when him, her or them would be correct, use whom.

What if everybody mixes up posts?
Just pick another blog, post on it, see if anybody gets it.

You know, kinda like mixing up Blog It's sock drawers...

To post or not to post...
that is the question. Only if I have something to say.

posted by Whacky on August 1, 2005 at 7:50 PM | link to this | reply

I can't keep up the daily posts. eventually, i'll run out of things to say... Well that might not be possible, but I think posting just for the sake of getting something in is stupid.

I agree with you.. I have been a bloger for only a few days and I beleive that I'm catching on but this morning I got on to make a post and made the mistake of reading others first and commenting and Quess What? I was out of time and didn't make my own post (-:

How's tricks quirlyone?

Quirky,

The real talent is in the reading.

Try putting multiple posts up by two's, side-by-side, and then train your eyes to read them individually.  Saves time, and really goes well with those caramel machia-whatsits!

I think everyone should post five times a day and that everyone should comment on every post ;)
