Metta -
Thanks for the kind words. I read one of your posts or comments where you mentioned that you read aloud and that it many times offers you little gems you might not otherwise have gained, so I tried it and you're right, it does offer more. I see it almost as my muse (angel) being happy to hear what I am reading and comments when appropriate.

I'm the same way. I grab a book and open it up and whatever I read tends to help with whatever is going on at the moment. I'm working on a book as well because I too find it helpful to write. Good luck with yours.

that's what the Talmud says
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." This go learn. The rest is but commentary.

Forget all the words.

Learn to live them.

sannhet

I never feel that your posts are written with anything other than humility and consideration - one reason I am always so happy to read your posts..

I learn alot from reading - it brings me closer to God....  but when I read it, I read it aloud to God and sometimes words open, flowers blossom  (metaphorically)

yes, it does
and it's hard to separate the two when i'm doing a lot of reading and writing. i have had the biggest awakenings when i repeat a simple prayer and keep my eyes open. i might grab a book off the shelf and it will be exactly what i needed to read. or, i'll encounter someone who says just the right things. it's really fascinating the way it works. i'm thinking of starting another book, and get it submitted soon. it really does me good to write, because i learn what i teach. good day, sannhet.
