I wish I could say that's an original observation, but it's not....learned it as a girl in ballroom dancing. I am full of useless trivia like that! And,yeah! two-stepping could very easily be addictive - it is a lot of fun....just moves you around in such a happy way, you can't feel down if you try!!

Wow, Krisles
I loved your explanation of why heavy men are good dancers. LOL I never would have thought of that!! Watch out. ., I hear 2-stepping can be quite addictive.

Isn't that the most delightful experience....I think there are few more pleasurable. I think that if men knew how much we adore that, they would all run out and learn how to do it. There was a man in our home office who could make any woman feel like she was a feather in his arms, glide her through the others on the floor, turn her, dip her...it was always magic...and he was very smart - made sure he made the rounds! Thanks for reading.

My mother's companion was the best dancer I ever experienced. He
could swirl the ladies 'round the floor. We were walzing. It felt effortless, like floating, with him leading me. Not everyone has that talent, to lead. I didn't need talent with him leading me....

I was in claims, maybe you knew or not...had to take statements from all kinds of nationalities....used an interpreter service...it was a hoot...they were instructed to interpret exactly....occasionally I could get one to actually think for real...I mean actually get outside the box and do what I needed....help me get the facts!!!....I mean....what direction were you going means a lot of different things, depending on the language and the education level of the person - I learned this over the years - it is amazing how things that we take so for granted as meaning something so basic, are not basic when seen from the perspective of a different paradigme - BIG lesson for me, even after I had given dozens of workshops about the concepts of paradigms!!!!

I play in the band because I can't dance.
It's a congenital birth defect in male babies of my family, I think. We all have roughly the same sense of rhythm of a stone tackling dummy.
So you're just gonna have to teach me to two step, someday.
Great stuff, Kris!

I don't really like to do line dances other than for a party or something, just that night for the fun...I won't remember because I don't do often enough to master...and I don't like to work to have fun. And, I never got to two-step enough to do more than the basic but, that is easy...and you are probably focusing too much...if you just relax and do the slow step back with your left foot, then right-left-right....depending on how good the guy is, from there if you stay relaxed he can lead you all around the floor.

Guys have really tried to teach me to two-step
After all, it's only two steps, right? Line dancing? They give lessons on Thursday night at a local dance hall...I can do it a little, but really admire people who know how to dance. It takes too much focus.

I love the Riverwalk....it's just about 80mi from where I live! And the walkin' backwards....do pay attention...it's soooo much easier to follow bein' pulled instead of bein' pushed...and we can stay off his feet easier than he can stay off ours!(well, usually!)

It is fun....loose, easy to do and sexy! Everyone laughs and it's hard to be self-conscious like with the tango or something.
