Missed a point ; " lux" is of course the Latin word for light, isn't it?

Thank you for your comment. Yes indeed, latin is a beautiful, stately language ; although a little too inflexible for modern needs, one suspects.
One always hears Lady Ariela say " Lata videtor puga in hanc?" never " Does my bum look big in this?" so much more refined, don't you think?
As you remark, there are some learned people in here ; and one has to be very careful with what one says! It's interesting ; this Lucifer thing. There are words in Spanish which appear to derive from the same root as Lucifer. For instance, lights are luces ( as well as lamparas ) Illumination seems to a strange quality to attribute to Lucifer though! Unless if's of the fiery variety

Thank you for your kind comment. Oh indeed, ariel's stuff is a positive mine of information ; most of it of little practical use, but hugely entertaining

You bad dude, you! You are gonna give those Italian grandfathers a run for their pesos...or whatever..... Dang! I want to come to Spain! I had my first scorpion get me last year...don't want any centipedes! You better behave yourself while Diana is gone, don't look at too many of those movin' parts....well, after that many years, she probably
hears you lookin at them...and figures it keeps you healthy. Thanks for the website on the aloe juice...I'm ordering some. I think it will help my butterfly wings.

Ariel,
I think Latin is a beautiful language, don't you? Knowing the language, you carry the 'mark of the learned' heh, heh, of course I'm not meaning to establish a link with the mark of the beast, or Lucifer, which is a Latin name according to the astute research of our fellow blogger.
You're right on the money with that blame thing, I think!

I always find it interesting to learn about how
other people live in faraway lands. Usually, things are not all that different no matter the distance.
