Your husband never had a BLT before then? That is horrible!!!

I can't imagine that, I grew up on them.

When I was a kid...
...it was a special treat when Mom made BLTs. I hadn't had one in over a decade when I introduced them to my hubby a couple years ago, and he flipped over them. Problem is, the smell of cooked bacon really dominates a place, no matter where you cook it. I don't make them very often anymore, because I spend more time cooking bacon for everyone's sandwiches (one for me, one for kid, at least two for hubby) and cleaning up after than I do savoring that yummy BLT. Yes, bacon and BLTs are quite special! As for European chocolate? I don't even allow it in my house anymore!

Military... don't overcook the ready made kind... 15 secs a slice...
but don't expect too much out of it! It's good, but not the same.

MilWife...have you not tried those pre-cooked varieties of bacon? Check out the 'servings' in the nutrition section on the package...price per piece is about the same. Then you only need to microzap on a paper towel and the pre-cooked variety needs no refrigeration until it is opened. It will keep for months in the cupboard.......It is in my 'hurricane kit'!!

LOL! I sound about like that commercial too. I'll take bacon over European chocolate and I have been known to bribe friends for European Chocolate!

Reminds me of the
commercial for Beggin strips. I'm a PB&H guy myself. I have peanut butter and honey sandwiches almost everyday for lunch. I do ocassionaly have something else just so I don't get into a rut.
