I missed your comment last night.
House prices in Spain are almost as high as in the UK now. For example, our house, for which we paid about £48,000 5 years ago, would now fetch anything up to £300,000 ( its euro equivalent of course ) Yhis is because its a a house inthe campo, with 21,000 metres of land around it. These have become quite rare, hence make a good price.
This is of course due to the enormous influx of foreigners into Spain -especially Andalucia. And the euro has put up the cost of living hugely - on the government's own figures, it went up by 20% within 6 months
You can see the sort of countryside around here by clicking on the link to our holiday rental house in my sidebar ( casa golondrina ). We live in the mountains above Los Marines, so it's a bit wilder up here.
Of course the climate is good, and generally stable, but one does occasionally get freak weather, especially in the mountains. At any moment in a still day, a roaring wind can spring up, and blow everything that isn't fixed down the mountain. And sometimes clouds come down, so one can't see more than about ten yards
Last winter we had drop in temp to minus 9,and everyting got frozen solid. But this is very rare, as is snow, except in the really high sierras, where they get 9 inches or over every year.
Thank you for your kind comment on my story. I shall be posting stories with Spanish themes, and long descriptions of Spain, and if you wish, I can let you know when I've posted them.
hasta luego!

I suppose real estate in Spain costs less than in UK. The weather should be less foggy too.
