Taps, he did too. My brother met him when he was stoned. He thought, this
guy is leaving this world soon. Next thing he had met his wife and got straight.

kingmi, my dad's favorite quote of Johnny's was when Johnnie was in the Military Service and he said something like, "My name is Cash and when I get out of the service, I'm gonna make me some."

Taps, Johnny Cash is not just an American legend. He is the stuff dreams
and memories are made from for the elder generation. But in his prime he was a beacon or a lighthouse for wayfaring young cowboys like your dad and mine.

Kingmi, my daddy always embarrassed me with Johnny Cash albums playing loudly on the stereo when I was a young impressionable thing, and had young bucks coming to the house to take me out.....I don't remember this song, though....I do remember 'Folsom Prison Blues' and 'Dirty Ol' Egg-Sucking Dog'.....I bought him that album for Christmas when I was thirteen....about 400 years ago! LOL!
Thanks for sharing!

kingmi, I don't even want one in my home but its there anyway because I don't have the heart to get rid of it. It was my Dad's--a 12 gauge shotgun that he had when I was a kid. Also, he sure did love Johnny Cash and his songs.
