If it's headlines they want, maybe
people can post a blog of headlines....I've got better things to do.

I don't spend all day and ESP. not all night posting, I'm one of those 8 hours a night gals, ya know? As for headlines, you have a point...but what is wrong with packaging your post so that people who aren't necessarily regular readers, will find you and BECOME regular readers? A post without a decent headline is not terribly click-inducing, imo.

I was actually about to ask this very question...
(when, I saw a "No Subject" heading on your post). So, now, I have a new question ... why do I see two "comments" sections on the same post?

You're right about the pressure to be #1, though (I would assume). Rankings only matter in the real world ... and, when there's real money involved.

One hardly plans to get there...it just happens and when you notice how
close you are, you challenge yourself to go all the way...you get more readers and that's what we're really after, not the ranking so much.
