I think it means that animals are great at picking up people's intentions. It seems that they can sense heart; when it is there, and when it isn't.

My sister says about my mom..."even the waterbugs love her"...Mom says you can tell a whole lot about a person by the way they treat animals.

animals, children, and old people love me....but people my age or, there within, don't....makes me wonder if the animals see the real me, and like the real me, and if so, maybe it is better that way...
