I agree that weight management is an issue that doctors should be giving frank advice about. However my problem with doctors is that they frequently have a bad bedside manner.

People who are overweight or underweight tend to have low self esteems and doctors need to be educated to ensure that they can communicate their good advice effectively so that the patients will translate this advice into achieving positive outcomes that will improve the quality of their life and health.

This doctor should not be deregistered but he should be provided with training to help him to work more effectively with his patients.

Soemtimes its easier to complain than to do something about the real situation.
