Exactly, Joe. It's not.
However, sometimes,
some posts seem to be longer than we expected when writing them. But, that's what editing is for. Unless it's something that just can't be segmented into two or more posts (which on occasion is undertandable) than I can see it. Regardless, most of us must admit that some are SO long and it's physically strenuous on the eyes and time consuming as far as our busy schedules allow. I often find myself printing out long posts to read while away from the 'puter.

I so agree with you, and I wish people would get over themselves and realize they can just not read. That said, I also have some thoughts about certain people's obsession with size...that's all I'm gonna say about the matter.....for now.

jacenta,
I think the "golden rule" is not only taught in school or by parenting, but also within any adults' personal spirit. It "says" a lot about a person.

and I couldn't agree with you more. What get's me is these people that declare that most of the blogger's writing isn't worth the paper its written on, are here writing themselves. If they believe that they are such extremely talented writers, then WTF are they still hanging around this place for?

you're right. there needs to be more respect for others' rights here. just because a person may not agree with what is written, it does not give them the right to belittle it.

Spiffy
You hit that nail right on the head! If you don't want to read, click away to another subject. What's up with the notion that a community the size of Blogit can agree on every single position? That is what makes us colorful and creative. About the mis spelling, OMG..thank God for edit! Tyically I can look at my post and say this is indeed what I want to say, then post, the notice my mistakes, hurry back to edit, pray no one has read it yet!! O yeah, we all do it. Like you, the shorter the post, the happier I am. (so why do I go on sometimes?) Who knows....

Spiffy,
Good post. There are plenty of whiners and complainers around. I think I started running into them a little late in life; I didn't go to day care or pre-school. I went to kindergarten for a while, but I made life too hard for my teacher, so she blamed me for something and kicked me out of her class; for that reason I got kind of a late start in dealing with bitchers and whiners.
I'm a fast learner, though. Derailing Runaway Shit Trains is a martial art of which I am a master. Why? It's one helluva good time!
I sent U
on the multimedia thing. It won't be hard to do the deed, but some procedurals need to be arranged. I just need to get a couple of feedbacks from you.

Its a personal choice really. If you don't like the way someone writes, then don't read them! Life's too short to bitch and complain about every little thing.

Hey Spitfire.....
I'm with you on this one!
I don't pretend to be a writer, nor will I ever be a writer, but I enjoy having a place to share with others things that are important to me. When I have something to say, my subject line spells out to the reader what that subject material might be. It's the reader's option to click in or stay out. I'm paying the fee here and in doing so, Blogit gives me the go-ahead to say what I want to say, so long as I behave myself. I'm not in competition with anyone and I'm not here for the money (ain't that a good thing?
). I'm pretty careful about my grammar, spelling, commas, punctuation, sentence structure, etc, etc.
To make a long comment short, I thought that blog was unfair and I applaud your rebuttal (did I spell that right? r-e-b-u-t-t-a-l). Thanks a lot!

Good points, well-taken. I always try to edit my spelling gaffes. Sometimes I nail the grammar quite well. Other times, I'm not sure of the sentence structure..

Spitfire, I know that I find plenty to read, most of it interesting and worthwhile. But, then since there are so many blogs from which to choose, I have a tendency to make myself scarce to those I do not find worth my time.

I must emphatically agree with you!! Those sorts of comments rear their ugly little heads from time to time, and they are (IMO) pure bull...yes, there is a lot of crap here and yes, there are people who like to write lighthearted stuff because it helps them deal with the real crap in their life--but there is plenty of the good stuff by REAL writers too---and if the people who make those kinds of comments can't see it, then they need to wash whatever is in their eyes, out...and open them to some really worthwhile reading.
