yummy post.  i feel the emotion in very rare ways meself.  I am very blessed and cursed at the same time.  Like a pendulum I swing long and wide.  I live on one extreme to another.  I can't deny I don't enjoy it, but some times I try.  My soul must have been very very very dusty.  I have cried buckets of tears.  I must have one of the shiniest souls around!  I think we have similar thoughts.

Thank you....and your daddy wasn't being diplomatic; to our dads we were always pretty - I figured out the secret of the magical spell daughters have over fathers.  We are the only females they can always be sure will completely worship and adore them.

This was a pretty post, Krisles..
And you wrote in a very lovely manner. I cry easily and sometimes when it's really tough, I don't cry. My father used to tell me that I looked pretty, even when I was crying. He was a very diplomatic guy. I looked grotesque crying, but he always said the right thing. Thanks for sharin'.

I appreciate your telling me that very much....it makes writing it so much more worthwhile to know it touched someone.  Crying is a good thing, woman!  If we weren't supposed to do it, we wouldn't want to...I mean they've even proven scientifically that we get rid of stress hormones that are not good to be floating around in our body.  I know for a fact that I can think more clearly after a good cry....well, I could go on and on and on....just be sure you stock up on the tissues with lotion in them so your nose doesn't get sore!! (((((HUG)))))

That description makes it seem even more real, especially the clunking batteries   Oh, and thanks for getting that spelling right, by the way...haha.   Don't worry about a little T-cream.  We get the mega-dose.  You're safe

I'm a cryer, a trait inherited from my mother. It's a struggle to keep it in check sometimes. I won't watch the animated Charlotte's Web to this day.

I can just see the grain of the paper by flashlight...the way the light diffused out in a circle....hear the rattle of the batteries in the clunky handle....and the color (excuse me, colour!) of the paper.  And testosterone, huh? Well, since I use that dang cream, I'd better step up my crying to counteract any bad effects....and I'm supposed to be using the cream to help...... This stuff is so dang complicated!!

Kris,
This post means more to me than you'll ever know. (that's the second time you've done that to me, woman!) Since my childhood, I've had a really hard time with letting myself cry. Reading this post helps me to look at tears and crying in another light. THANKS SO MUCH........much love..... Toker

I've missed you so much.....I'm not just saying that; I really have.  And I bet you're even man enough to cry if Queen V is looking.  I'm going to read your new fiction post as soon as I can quiet my mind enough to concentrate...I've been watching the tube too much...that's why I'm reposting.

Talion's right.  It's only in public that we're not allowed to do that.  The reason we don't live as long is testosterone   ;-)

So you did the flashlight-under-the-covers thing, too, eh?  I enjoyed this little glimpse into your childhood, and nicely "penned," too...

I'm a man, but I don't think there's anything wrong with a good cry. As long as no one is looking.
