benzinha, it has been one hell of a way for things to be exposed as they are

LifebyLisa, thanks for the read and comments. Yes, walking outdoors is

good for the soul.  I have hundreds of happy birds feeding in my garden daily and they are what I watch, at noon, to avoid the mosquitoes.

I am thankful that you like my writing.

Great Posts
I'm so happy I stumbled across your blog. Loved reading through your stuff. Hey don't feel bad, I have my own couch potato and those TV moments, but we still manage to go check out the hills nearby, looking for lizards and bugs, and everything else we come across. Now when they want to watch TV, it's Discovery, History, Animal Planet.

Keep up the great posts...realy enjoy reading them.

Oh, and FlameThrower, I'm with you. I finally turned off the t.v. set, too

much blah, blah, blah and little enough action. It was killing me to not have had a real master planner and executer in charge of Katrina affairs, starting one week before she hit. Now, I want no more talk, just the door to door salvation of the least of us still suffering in New Orleans.

I don't care whose fault all of this is, that is clear. I just never want it to happen again, never again. Here comes a San Francisco earthquake sometime and what will happen then, with this planning technique? This is just a fearful human question and not a political one, I assure you.

Flamethrower, if you knew me better, you would know that I promote no

specific group, but rather humane legislation, environmentally correct planning, intelligence in the White House and a sadly needed American 'world view'.

I may say nothing new, have nothing to say really, other than, the poor were once again betrayed and being poor, I know whereof I speak.

Be he/she Democrat or Republican in the White House, I only ask that the person have a brain and use it without stooping to the politics of the moment over long term views and planning for the future of my nation and its societies.

No me quemaste nadita, llamita, nadita. Gracias por haberme leido.

So strange
Me again,Please try and look at things calmly you will see the truth clean and clear. Now is time to work and help not to calculate how your group will come to power.

maj, put yur hat back on....civil service?!?!?! What's that ancient term?
Sorta like what the word, both ancient and ill defined at this time, "unions". So many good things, gone in the name of cost cutting and expediency and consolidating and privatizing and villifying.

Thank you Benz
for giving the truths revealed by Katrina a voice. This is the real story lurking beneath. I would like to link this blog in a post in my U.S. blog. As an effort to spread the truth further. Would that be okay?

People have forgotten what civil service is for.
