Hi MayB
Yes I can see that there is enourmous potential. (For PodCasting I mean.)
I am with the Melbourne Institure of Experiential Creative Arts Therapy.
http://www.miecat.org.au/pages/home.htm
We are having a meeting this coming Saturday about promoting the Queensland branch.
I need to be informed about all the ways we can do this.
We will also be having a conference and so I need to learn as much as I can.
So the help you give is much appreciated. I don't know if Americans are ahead of us Aussies or if I have been down a deep tunnell.
I started an Australian blog at this site so that I would be able to talk to other Aussies who may not want to pay to get in here.
This blog is great I think and I like it - but - it is hard to talk others into paying.
So I mirrored with this one........
http://www.whitepage.com.au/BrisbaneArtist
which is neat (I like pure white and non- distracting) but unlike American sites with all the support you guys have I find it hard to know if Aussie ones will stick around. The sites I mean.
Have you ever thought what it would be like to wake up and find all your blogging gone?
One of the things we talked of was making PodCasts so that when people were inquiring about what MIECAT is we can say download this Pod Cast.
Yes potential galore really.
Sorry for taking up space in your blog I got thinking 'n rambling..

Jo, the recording into an i-Pod is so easy. I do it for all my interviews (and my children) but I don't broadcast or podcast. I keep it for my own files. I don't know the technique yet for making podcasts but it is something I want to learn. It is great for teaching and already a lot of universities are getting into.

Hi MayB
I spoke to you one other time.
I am in Brissie AU.
Is making a Pod Cast as simple as recording into an iPod?

We do live in a new era... time to rethink our assumptions and values. Great idea, why pay for something when you can get it for "free?"

Brilliant idea. Blogs are starting to creep into all sorts of sites outside of pure blogging now. I hadn't thought of such a direct approach, but it could also be done with the BBC here for instance - they have loads of blogs from their own 'staff' now, such as Edinburgh Festival for instance.
May, you may well be onto something here - something that other bloggers could emulate with their own local press organisations.
