- Go to Death Toll Could Top 10,000, Says Mayor. How About 20,000 Or More?
Drink up, my friend, that body count is going to be astronomical. And no
telling how many bodies will never be found, washed out to sea.

Heck -
2 days ago my friend involved in search and rescue stumbled upon 500 dead bodies in one apartment complex but you didn't hear about that on the news?
Oh, and my poet soulmate happened to be inside of the bomb, excuse me dome where at 2,000 bodies can be found. Yes, first hand, no exaggerations. I will finish my merlot now.

Sure it will, Kiddo. And when was the last time you saw a government job
(at any level of government) completed
quicker than expected. I'd hate to see you go cyanotic from holding your breath on this one, Kiddo.

The worst thing about this, Kiddo, is the terrible fact that pathogens can
be spread throughout the south and many parts of the nation through mosquitoes, so it is of utmost importance that the dewatering and cleanup of New Orleans and the gulf coast be done as quickly as is possible.

I know, isn't that horrible? And consider the amount of people killed
during their horrible stay at the superdome, it's just horrible. I think the greatest number of people killed during a natural disaster was the flood in Galvestin, TX in 1900 I believe. The official count was around 6,000...but they say it really topped 12,000. When I heard that the first time (before Katrina) I was horrified. I thought to myself, "At least we haven't had anything that horrific since then". Now this.
