Alf...
It's exactly what we can't hide from ourselves that we see the most when we are alone. Our outward image is our armor and it usually covers the tender underbelly of our feelings. It must be even more difficult when you're a man. To appear at all times strong and self-sufficient... somehow I empathize. Wonderfully put.

This has many good elements. I think it can be re-worked into a tighter and less repetitive piece, but it is nice work. Most of the Blogit poets are rank novices whose work, I must confess, is sometimes embarrassing to read. You are a cut above them. Keep writing. I will be back
