Excellent post, Ariel

Thanks for your comments in support of this country, as well as your succinct distinctions between the American war in Iraq and the barbarian Nazis and radical Muslims.  You have spoken eloquently.

Your poem reminded me of a post I did many months ago about some Muslim kids down the street from me who were shooting at me from inside their house (as I walked my dog) with their toy machine guns.  They were yelling something I could not hear and I wondered if they were yelling "death to the infidel, Allah Akbar" or something along that line.  I'll never know; however it is profoundly sad to see so many of these Muslim children being raised to hate all that America stands for.

And I would agree that I question why President Bush bends over backwards to ally himself with so many Muslim countries and leaders.  He is a far more loyal person than they will ever be. Likely he does it because he believes it to be strategically appropriate but in the end I'd venture to guess that in some form or another either he or this country will be "stabbed in the back" in spite of that loyalty.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

excellent post.

Thank you for eloquently separating America from the barbarians. It makes me furious when people morally compare this country to regimes of death and oppression.

Thank you for including me in you post. You are a most able writer and express your thougts extremly well. Your observations mirror my own. I have spent hundreds of hours researching terrorism, terrorists, and terrorists intentions. I have quoted the results of that research time after time only to have my intelligence questioned by folks who disagree. I have challenged those disagreeable folks to spend some time in research without much success. I have in my possession al-Qaeda's, Usama bin Ladin's, declration of war against the Jews and Crusaders, a short history on twenty-three international terrorists organizations that are in some way affiliated with al-Queda, speeches, public announcements by bin Ladin, six three ring binders full of public information, and still, I am accused of stating a personal opinion, not facts. It ... gets ... frustrating, to say the least. Perhaps an honest broker is exactly what the Network needs. I am glad you are here.

Ariel70, thank you for such an eloquent response to my comment. You are
right it is a just war. Since all of the present is laid out in such a clear photographic message in the Bible I can only say I do believe that this war is being fought in the only country that it will have the effect it is supposed to have. I believe there is only one God, the God of the Jews then the Christians and I believe he is the creator. I do not believe those innocent children were praying to any Allah. I believe they do not know but they are praying to God until they become of an age to make decisions against other people. That was all I was not in total agreement with but not against your belief about that, it is yours and anyones choice to worship as they want. I don't believe there is Allah or any mercy in him. The threat of world domination is looming now from the direction of China. The Muslims will eventually control all the world, but the wars will be unbelievably violent before that day.

Thank you for your comment, which I have just read.

I would be interested to learn what exactly of my piece you disagree with.

I write as one from afar, with only a generalized knowledge of current affairs and opinion in America, therefore I am always prepared to listen with an open mind to counter arguments.

Thank you for your interesting comment.

Yes, indeed, the world is full of power-hungry fanatics, but surely you must agree that none have quite the same all-embracing and mediaeval agenda?

The crucial point in all this is that we stand in greater danger from militant Islam than from any other grouping ; for most others are interested more in economic hegemony.

Islam's agenda is unique in its clearly expressed aim of imposing total thought control over the entire world. Truly an Orwellian nightmare writ large.

No doubt China and some other states would like to go down the same road, but they are too engrossed in their own internal affairs, and anyway, probably lack the means or the will to do so.

No, it is Islam that presents the greatest threat to the lives and the social structures of we in the west. One has only to note how much our freedoms have been eroded so in reaction Muslim terroism far to envision that Islam has already achieved much of its aims.

You are a very interesting person, with clearly expressed and forceful opinions, and I respect that very much,

Extremists of ANY faith are dangerous

Fanatical followers of Islam are not the only ones who strive for global domination, power holds and the megabucks that flow from both. I too am sickened by the mistreatment of women in closed Muslim communities. Your words touch a nerve and raise a question that no U.S. administration, past or present has ever wanted to answer:

"It is these people, not Americans, who treat females a chattels, and stone them to death on trumped-up charges of adultery ; even if they have been forcibly raped. It is these people, not Americans who beat up females in the street for daring to expose their hair or arms, or commit the heinous crime of wearing make up."

Why does the United States embrace, support and further the agendas of governments that engage in this barbaric behavior; namely Saudi Arabia?

Please don't say because we must depend on them for oil - trade is a two way street and our dependence on their supplies has never seriously been dealt with, in this administration or others before. Too much money at stake for U.S. oil companies to ever weaken the bonds. How hypocritical of our leaders to spout rhetoric about freedom and democracy out of one side of their mouths and kiss the hands and feet of a Saudi royal with the other.

See the beast for what it is: Power and money greed, cloaked in robes of religion, political persuasion and righteousness.

Ariel...very well written. I don't agree with all your sentiments or logic
but the last third of the piece about the children of the Middle east is dead on and inspired.

I'm intrigued ; exactly what in my post do you disagree with?

Thank you for your interesting comment.

Perhaps you misunderstood me, for I was not by any means saying, nor do I think, that the the Iraq war is wrong ; or fought from criminal motives. I think it a  casus belli, a just war ; as just as was the Second World War, through which I lived as a boy.

I respect your views, and your belief in God, for it seems to me that if one does not believe in something above and beyond oneself, then one is on a par with the animals. Or, worse, those criminals and rapists in New Orleans.

I believe you have done a lot of thinking. I believe you have written from
your heart. I don't agree with you. But then that is one of the reasons we have fought so many wars so that in this country you can disagree without fear when communicating with rational people. I am a Christian and I can not in a venue such as this explain why I do not believe the war in Iraq is wrong. I believe it is protecting you as much as us for the short term. In the long run there will be no where to run except those who are running to the God of Israel.BB
