Had a fun time reading your story. I agree with your position (though maybe not how men in a strip club think). I feel women who feel the need to flaunt a bunch of flesh (most of the time) dont have a clue to what sexy (or style, for that matter)is. . , and it's a desperate attempt to make up for this by flashing the flesh.

Thank you for such a very wise comment! And for reading and the compliment. It is such a shame that more men don't impart this to their daughters as they are raising them...I don't know if they are just not comfortable discussing it with them?

That sounds like a nice size to me.....I've been on the absolutely nothing end, and on the overly endowed end....and being in the middle would be ideal to me. I always tell women that you can always add to easier than you can take away!!

The appeal of the woman is the mystery. And it's not just about clothing
either, you know? It's about wanting but not being able to have her. Then suddenly having her look at you. Then not. Wondering. Wanting. Sometimes having by taking (with agreement). But her elusive nature, her mystique, is what makes her superior. If this is violated by a man, it's terrible; it strips her of her beauty. If it's violated by the woman herself, she just doesn't realize what power she could hold....
Thank you for that well written and important piece.

I started wearing garter belts with silk stockings before Victoria Secret opened....just for comfort. They give a certain feeling to a woman when she wears them with heels.....so I always knew how to work my legs and felt like I'd be able to make my point fairly easily....but it turned out even better than I'd hoped, and became the way I earned my nickname.

I'm sure that your research with yourself about the subject brings you much pleasure....and that you will double-check your findings and get back to yourself several times before you finalize your rebuttal.

Thanks.....we all freaked....I mean, this was just over the summer! I know that with my posts, it's probably a surprise to you but I've always been a conservative dresser when it comes to necklines and such. Mama just almost gave me a real complex, though.....I think that, if she could have, she would have kept a blanket wrapped around me! And, I'm really pleased with the way Michele turned out....so I must have done at least a good deal of it right.

Actually, my story about the strip club was somewhat based on actual experience. The managers at work used to all go out for birthdays...the honoree getting to choose the place....and this one guy chose a strip club in OKC because "it has the best burgers" - he didn't think the women managers would go, but we showed him and went. I had noticed the way it worked somewhat when we were there for that. Not long after, the same guy wanted to take a visiting manager there after work for a drink and we all went....we got in a conversation about how men were about this very thing....there was some disagreement....I told them I could prove it and did this demonstration while they sat at a table in the back.

It's an uphill battle for parents, with all forms of media shoving the sexual images at the girls from everywhere they look. It's hard for parents to be the only voice telling them that what those folks are selling isn't what the guys really want.....smart moms and dads will arm themselves with some examples from the enemy camps before they start talkin'. And I think the problem with the blouses has got to be that they use the small models and just add material, not allowing for actual fullness or something....I'll never understand it.

It's the thrill of the chase.
I've faught with myself on this issue several times. I always lose, but then again, I always win too. In the short-term: nudity is the best policy. But, for a lasting, worthwhile relationship, the one you spent max time & effort pursuing is so much more gratifying... I think. I may disagree with me in a little while.

Your daughter got some good guidance, not like a lot of today's young women, from the look of it. And boy, your story about the strip club and the fully-clothed woman made me laugh. How true that is. Her mystery was unsolved. What's hidden has pull. There's no epilogue to nakedness.

Krisles,
I believe that more mothers would do well to have conversations like these with their daughters. When I see girls barely into their teenage years going about scantily clad, I have to wonder if they live with a parent. Nothing is wrong with showing off a nicely toned body, but you are right when you say that men like a little mystery, something that's not hanging out there banging on everybody's eyeballs.
I believe that if more female teens had a better handle on self-esteem, there wouldn't be so many of them out there running around with very little left to the imagination.
And what is it with these manufacturers. My ready-made shirts always seem to have that gap right across the breasts.
