Krisles,

Geez, are you actually suprised by what amounts of money certain governments will give for crap like this? Yeah, I didn't think so...

Spitfire
What I want to know is, how much was the government grant some yahoo got to study this?  I mean, I'd bet that if they put that information down and had Jay Leno ask it out on the street, those clowns he talks to who don't know who's buried in Grant's tomb could have reasoned those coclusions out...duh, the ladies like it bigger, and bigger is heavier...harder to swim with......duh.....that's the kinda thing they do seem know.

I think I'd take the shorter life. LOLOL

By the way, I'm formally requesting a new post from your Politically Incorrect blog. I need a fix!!!!!

You might be right about that, Jimmy.
But are you talking about male fish behavior or male humans? hehe

I was under the impression that most fish reproduced by the female...
laying eggs, which the male then does a swim-by on, firing his load as he passes...maybe the big fishsticks drop bigger loads and so can fertilize more eggs...

Offbeats, well, I guess not. (I hope not.) But,
what if you were a male mosquitofish?

Strat,
But imagine how boring fish life must be. It seems there really isn't much more to do but hunt for food, avoid being the hunted, and bump fish uglies with others, ya know?

saul, I agree.
I'd really hate to be a fish, but especially a male mosquito fish. That's a bummer.

Libertine, um, just curious, how did you think they
reproduced? Immaculate conception? Now that would be impressive. Actually, I think only iguanas don't have to do the nasty to reproduce. I could be wrong.

Timmy, what am I getting in line for?

Just curious. I like to know these things before I'm forced to wait in any line.

I guess I am not really qualified to answer this question Spiffy....

posted by Offy on September 12, 2005 at 12:51 PM | link to this | reply

Is this a trick question or what?
Since life is about how well you live not how long you live, I would say that, given that my karma has forced me to be a fish, I might as well be hung like a retired circus mule fish and not like a hamster fish.

And if I have to get eaten, I hope it's by a hot female shark...

Tell you the truth, Spitfire, I wouldn't want to be a fish, forced to
spend your life swimming around and eating in your own offal.  Seems most unsanitary.  And what's wrong with being average?  I mean...uh...that is to say...uh...if you were a mosquito fish...uh...gotta go---

I didn't even know that fish HAD genitals!

Spiffy,
And don't misinterpret Exit Polling to mean that those who are exiting are those who are polled.  Quite the opposite is necessary for this particular study.   jj

Spiffy,
There is no easy answer to that question, and I would have to go on a statistical gathering expedition before I would be willing to give one.  I think that Exit Polling is really the only way of obtaining a satisfactory answer.  I was here only to check into this important, ongoing, issue so I can't answer the question at this time.   jj

Spitfire...
I think the choice is clear, I would much rather live well that live long.

I don't really care about the length of my...

life.  (Actually in both cases, it's quality, over quantity.  But it's good to have both.)
