Gosh darn Quirky.....Hope I haven't been wishy-washy.....
I'm at my best if I comment about how well-done the post is and if I felt something. I, too, try to see the best qualities in a post...Sometimes it's humor, sometimes it's sadness and brilliance, etc. Sometimes I can be swayed to another side, too. I might have to plead guilty here once or twice, but for the record, I think I'm on the right track or single track, most of the time...

It may be that the Rah Rahs are kudos
for the deft manner in which the post was written, not necessarily the viewpoint itself.

I dunno -- I'm off to read and catch up and see what the heck I missed.

Take care!

both ways
guns are great--They help me to eat and protect me so I may prosper. Or are they horrible-- They take innocent lives and force upon peoples ideas that otherwise they wouldnt accept. My point quirky is that I agree with you Specifically ( what do you support. this or that). Anything stated GENERALLY will alway have a duality to it until placed in a SPECIFIC context.  Now im mumbling .

 Soaking Bubble Bath

I am usually more splishy-splashy than wishy washy... but I wonder if I have done that much since I can see one person's point and then be open to another's! But then I don't usually _totally_ agree I think... Oh well, got any tub tints?

Quirky
Sometimes there is a sentence or a thought than can be agreed upon by two sides. Doesn't mean the person is whisy-washie, just means there is a common thread to agree on. I try to find something in every post to agree on and if I can't...well I leave no comment.

Quirky,
Sometimes it's just hard to walk the walk..............I feel wishy-washy at times...........

Why is everyone saying...
that there are two sides to everything? Sometimes you should feel truly passionate about something and not be so easily swayed. I agree with you quirky. Depending on what the issue is you need to express how you truly feel and not change your mind so quickly.

Quirk this is an awesome strong point...

I too saw something similar yesterday reading through comments...but oh well...too each it's own.

Great stuff

Well preach neutrality... It is a good idea to be able to give an opinion on two side without been bias. In that way you are not a close person. The word ethics comes to mind in that their is no right or wrong.

quirky
it's hard to walk the line between stating how you feel about things and giving others the right to be heard.

Quirky, but sometimes it's possible to agree with what are seemingly
opposite positions but actually aren't

Quirky...way to put it out there and stick to your guns...
There are people who are wishy-washy, but this isn't always a bad thing.  Sometimes, we can feel one way, one day, then minutes later someone hits us upside the head with another perspective and our feelings change.  When this happens, we need to state it as such and demonstrate that we've learned something new.  However, for the people who are simply playing sides or seeking benefits via alterior motives, that to me is childish, and those people need a "time-out."

Quirky

Hmmm....I was just thinking, have you ever noticed that wishy-washy is actually "yhsiw-yhsaw" spelled backwards?   Then again, it might not be....

wishy washy is jsut part of the world. what can we do?

posted by Vanidad on September 12, 2005 at 7:43 PM | link to this | reply

There are a few things....
that I am absolutely for or totally against. Everything else falls into the "depends on what day it is and what mood I'm in" category. I can be wishy washy though( or maybe I just dont care enough about the subject). :)

Quirks,
I hear ya. But just look at how some are the same way with religion. They preach and preach about loving thy neighbor, do unto others....blah blah blah, and all that stuff, but then they turn around and kill abortion doctors and staff, tell others with different beliefs they're "hell bound," among many other "un Christian" things. Many times when asked why they have their beliefs, they say, "because that's what we were taught." But do they really believe it for themselves? Often times not. People need to stop being afraid to voice their real opinions and thoughts. There is nothing wrong with that if one uses tact and respect. What are people so afraid of?

LOL... hmmmm... I tend to have an open mind and can relate to both
sides of some issues.  Does that make me wishy washy?   I don't think so... non-judgmental maybe.  I'll always give you my honest opinion... but I'm actually one of those people that can learn from the opposite side of the debate.  I think that's a good thing...

Quirky, I've noticed this so much in the last two years that I finally
realized two different people from two different perspectives can say things that make everyone agree with them at times.  It's a strange phenomena and maybe it's a power that writers hold.  It shows how easily people will agree with others.

Quirky...
I agree 100%.  Well...I mean if thats what you want me to do.  It depends on how you meant what you said.  I am assuming you really meant it and in that case you have my total support...unless you wanted me to disagree with you.  In which case I would be happy to disagree with you, but...then you may not like me.  Oh I'm so confused now

Well I agree and disagree Quirky

Lol.

I think so many issues/subjects are not starkly black or white. There are numerous shades of gray; seeing another view from a different perspective can expand a person's opinion..sometimes to the point of appearing wishy-washy. I probably have looked that way on certain issues. I do know it fills the brain with thoughts and ponderings that can nearly drive you crazy on occasion.;) Be still my mind!
