I have always admired all your articles that I have read, but none has deeply affected me this way. Why? you may ask. It is because of its honesty and sincerity. I have always wondered why the sins of the father should be transfered to the son. I am a victim of african slavry my grand parents though they were missionaries first settled in Freetown before living with other white missionaries to spread the good news to Nigeria and British Cameroon. As you may know I am black and have never gotten any sympathies for people like Robert Mugabe or Bomedian, for I think that these fellows and what is now going on in Sudan is a calamity. Your article sounded just like mine on the pretty unreported or underreported truths in our world. But I do also think that, the responsibility of all this hypocrisy should be squarely put in the hands of the types of politicians and press that we have today. I am also quite happy that you mentioned the masacre of the Ndebele by Mugabe. I had written something similar here but in Praise of Roy Benneth,a Zimbabwean belonging to the MDC who was jailed by Mugabe.Roy is White but a true fighter that the press ignores to put at the fore. Long one isn't it? Thank you very much for being honest, objective and balanced.

Good post, tons of information in here. I saw a documentary last week on the area of a very small country in Africiia.. It is a small country, probably the smallest, with the largest murder rate. Not all about slavery, but about power between two factions, both black. The situation has not made national news here in America, I haven't even seen an article on it, but it disturbed me to watch this little country go unnoticed more than the headlines of Katrina these last 2 weeks. People being buried up to their heads only to have poison snakes dumped on top of them...all while others laughed.. Man's inhumanity to man at it's worst!
