I forgot to add that your writing takes me along in those cars and trains and buses and planes and ER rooms,
and that I am enjoying the ride.

I too admire his courageous crawling to that edge. I took an African friend, one from a very flat
country, to the Grand Canyon. He said he's hike the rim with me and we started off. This man could kill a lion, fry it up in a pan and take on absolutely anything and handle it.

We rounded our first dramatic corner into a full view of the Everything that the canyon is. He began to faint and I pulled him away from the edge. He fell on top of me. I couldn't move until he came to. He hadn't even known what had happened, because it was all new, depth and fainting and vertigo. Poor baby. We admired it from a little further away from edges after that.
