Hey, I'm game. If I can get the 'ol muse worked up, I can probably write something someone would want to read.

Thanks. I hope to expand the mysticism section as well as the section on spirituality. And I must admit, a book has crossed my mind, though I'm not sure I have enough to say.

Good point. Personally, I think there is plenty of evidence around that "God" has a sense of humor.

I think humans are special for this reason.
While we evolve, we have a choice as to whether we want to be conscious or unconscious while its taking place. For religion to evolve, I believe first we need to conceed that God has a sense of humour!

Thanks. Sometimes I'm actually able to get what's in my mind through my arm, hand and pen to paper.

Thanks for stopping by. Currently it's just some selected writings from this blog as well as some articles from others whom I admire.

I took RAME to mean the Church as Yeshua would have it. Everything else that happened with the Church from after the resurrection was done by man - not "God" or Yeshua. The evolution of what is now called the Roman Catholic Church happened as man learned more and understood more about the Truth.

RAME

I am trying to figure out what you mean by "The Church doesn't evolve."

What this mean regarding Protestant Churches?

Do you mean they haven't evolved?

Or do you mean that The Church is The Church and the Protestants are not?

Also -- what do you make of changes within the Church?  At one time, priests and even popes were married.  Then it was a requirement that they be celibate.  Isn't this evolving?

Then of course there's the Galileo thing -- after a while The Church came around to Galileo's way of viewing Cosmos.  This is not evolving?

Now, of course, The Church, wherever it planted itself, took on the previous religious practices of the peoples -- Christmas came from Germanic tribes, Halloween from Celtic, and then you check out various localities and you find rituals, etc. that are carried from pre-Christian practices -- is this not evolving?  -- that is, tailoring belief to fit the populace -- so that the Church can retain believers - so that the Church can thrive?

Thanks. That is what I am trying to get across. Though I do think that there have been more masters than just Yeshua, each having reached the perfection of which he speaks.

I don't know. I'm not sure if "God" evolves or not. If "God" is perfect or "mature", then I see it as the need for us to become "mature", to reunite with that which is perfect..

Sannhet,
True, God is perfect and does not evolve. Neither does His Church. What evolves are the members of His Church in, as you say, our intelligence. We continue to learn more and more if we continue to dedicate ourselves to learning but the basic Church and its dogmas will never change. After all, it was founded by Christ, the Son of God, the second Person in the Holy Trinity, and what He founded is perfect and does not change. I think this is what you were saying and you said it in such a way as to explain your own thinking and invite comment. You did well. Thanks.

good

i, however, believe that God evolves -- Yeshua said, "become mature, as your father in heaven is mature." KJV translates "mature" as "perfect".

God needs to keep one step at least ahead of us (but of course this god is quite a few steps ahead of us).

nothing remains static -- that's my perception.
