Excellent post, Jeff
I so agree.  I have a couple of medical conditions and have had two major surgeries, but I refuse to own them.  It really bugs me when I hear people talk about, "my heart attack,"  my this or my that.  Let go of it, try to isolate it as something that occurs/occurred and acknowledge that you are more than a medical condition or surgical procedure (not you, personally, Jeff).  Thanks for the insights and blessings for continued progress.

Excellent points!
I never noticed until reading this that I, too, never say I am "suffering" from depression.  And your point about suffering from vs. diagnosed with is so very true!

hmmm

does that make your nickname an oxymoron now? "JollyJeff" is depressed?

I'm sorry I have been there myself truly
