Hemlocker, thank you. I wish I could post more

Did I ever tell you of my experiences with the killer whales in Puget Sound?  Nope, I didn't swim with them, but I did sit amongst them in a flimsy rubber boat.  Swimming with a dolphin?  Precious indeed.  And you remain one of my heroes on Blogit, having wise things to say, writing for pay and still having time to come here.  Thanks.  Hemlocker

Malcolm, I've not swayed an inch off the route. It is the only road map I have.

It's still a dream
though, right? Think of paid-for work as the nightmare you left behind. You're getting commissions, you're writing, you're on the right path.

I can relate to you. I've been so busy
I haven't been taking time out to enjoy the simple things, too. Hope your efforts at doing so are helping to revive you, May.

Great post.

Sometimes we're trying so hard to survive that we forget to live.

P.S. being in the water with a dolphin: Priceless.

Quirky, no we must not shove aside our dreams

Yes, for me, creating an inviting place to write would go a long way towards inspiring the words to come. Unfortunately, many of us do have to shove aside dreams for the reality of living, mouths to feed, bills to pay and all that. But they never die, they are just waiting in the wing to be brought to the light.

May, that dolphin holds a wisdom for us all. He helped you see the flipper side of life.

I tend to vacuum or clean when I can't figure out how to start a project or when I've had enough of a particular project.   Cutting the grass is relaxing and my mind can drift off - thinking of more ideas to annoy me.  Enjoy your cleansing time, MayB.

My home does glisten! While I spent one of my rare days in the garden this week, my boys cleaned the house. They are awesome!
