Talion, that's true... it is rarely found on the computer. Glad that you're enjoying the wasteland. Wastelands are there to be taken and made into your own

I'm green with envy...
The only writers I know are those who I've met on the 'net.

MayB,
you are very lucky to be able to do just that. Up to now I've only met two writers in person, but then these ones have become real friends. One is English (Christopher Fowler, writes horror thrillers), the other is Flemish, just like me (Luc Deflo, thriller writer). The other writers I network with is only by email, unfortunately, while they are in the States & Canada, and I'm in Europe.

Networking is so
important. I heard of one writer who met a literary agent at a sci fi convention and she went on to write great things. Good luck to you.

Awesome MayB!
I was just reading the importance of connecting with other writers. Of course we do this here on blogit but, as you say, the face to face, voice to voice meeting is the best and, as my books say, very important! Would just love to hear about your meetings! An ipod to record eh? Clever! As Talion says too taking a glimpse into lives around us is great character studying. I think both ways are great and can't wait to hear how you make out!!

There is a certain freedom that comes with doing your own thing and not being overly concerned with what others are doing. Though I've never had a problem with long abscences from this place, I couldn't see that as clearly as I needed as long as I kept the journal blog. Posting exclusively in the fiction category, the wasteland, has been liberating.
Tonight Queen V and I will go out, have a nice dinner, maybe take in a movie or go somewhere else to interact with living breathing souls. I may meet a new character for the next chapter or discover a new setting for a wonderful scene. It's out there, but I won't find it in front of a computer.
