Happy birthday. Enjoy your new sewing machine, sewing your new curtains, and the potentially provocative video from Carl. I didn't there are single-use cam corders. Am I living in a cave?

this is why you should know more thieves
because if you knew a thief that hadn't gotten you a present yet, you could ask him to steal the 400 dollar sewing machine for you for your birthday.
not all of my ideas are the best, but sometimes for a couple seconds they seem plausible.

Glad somebody knows how to sew......
I have to take everything to a lady up the road who does alterations. I've never bought a pair of slacks that didn't have to be hemmed, you know? I gave my sewing machine to my ex-daughter-in-law (how dumb was that?). Well, if you can sew, treat yourself - to the best because that will inspire you to really get into it.
Have fun, MW.

Happy Birthday!

I don't think there has ever been a time that I actually went out and spent that kind of money on myself. Carl convinced me that by the time the material went to waste that I would be wasting the money if I didn't go get it LOL!
I just started sewing recently, I like clothes, specifically leather clothing...it tends to be highly expensive...so what better way to get it and not spend a fortune!

Wifey,
I'm not into sewing, guess I didn't inherit that girly-girl gene!....JK......That's cool though, I'm glad you got yourself a present!!! Just curious though, I'm betting that's not something you would normally take advantage of, so I'll bet letting yourself actually get it was kinda new to you?

I have wanted one of thos peddle Singers since childhood. My Great Grandma had one and there are so many wonderful memories with that.
My birthday is on the 16th.

So, when is your birthday? I gave Michele my old sewing machine because I wasn't using it, and now find I miss having one around just for the occasional mending. I'm looking at the old peddle Singer that my grandmother used, and my mother used when she was a little girl, and that I used a few times when I was a girl...I use it now for decor....I bet if I pulled it up and cleaned it a little, that old thing would still work.
