It took me a long time to accept that it was ok to take the medication. Wow, life is so much better now. It took a good month before I started to notice a difference but now I officially feel normal again!

Thanks Quirky
I'm not thrilled about taking the medication either, but I simply can't function without it right now. Fortunately the medication has been effective and the side effects have been mild so it's well worth it for right now.

I'm glad you are feeling more hopeful--that is a good sign. I can relate to every word you've written...I go into that dark pit often, and somehow I've always found the strength to climb back out without the drugs, but I also wonder if they could help me to be happier. My good days are much better than the horrible black days, but I doubt they are at the level they could be. I guess the drugs just scare me more, so I haven't wanted to take them. I hope you continue to dialog what you are experiencing.
