When I drive down my country lane, I like to wave a friendly hello to those people I see walking--it always amazes me to see their faces light up with a smile (well, most of the time...some are just too mistrusting of my motives).

I agree with you. I think that we affect other people in ways that we will never know. For this reason it is important to be kind. There are days that I find myself smiling through gritted teeth, but smiling just the same.
