- Go to Veritas Vineyards?
Thank you all for your great words of encouragement!
I did find out that there is a Veritas Vineyards in Virginia. But that is okay I will think of a new name and run it by you all. I am excited about this adventure. It will have to keep until hubby get's back from Iraq but in the mean time I intend to put my business plan together and research everything throughly.

I think if you've got the money to make a run for it. . , if you think it will make you happy, then you should "go for it".

In Vino Cornonthecobbus
Is there such a thing as Corn Wine? And, would there be a twist-off cap?

Veritas
As you probably know, you can't trademark a WORD, only a logo....so start designing the word Veritas with grapes dripping from it :)

I thought all you could grow in Nebraska was more Nebraskans.

Great name, great idea!
And I too had NO idea Nebraska had vineyards. But why not? I'm from CA and of course they're virtually saturated with vineyards (particularly my old stomping grounds), and Michigan (where I live now) has vineyards so obviously the cold in Nebraska shouldn't affect the vines.
Cool! And multitasking with art sales . . . what more could you want! So save really, really hard . . . .

Okay, okay Nebraska's big claim to fame is Corn.
Hmmmm that just sounds weird fame and corn in the same sentence. But believe it or not the ground here is great for grapes. I am told that grapes run an extremely long tap root so there is no need for irrigation. Check out the pics these babies were grown right here in corn country.

I've always wanted to be a winetaster actually
cause I could never understand how they get all those flavors when tasting wine! (if you saw the movie Sideways you know what I'm talking about)

Nebraska has vineyards?
I mean, that's pretty cool, but I think of corn when I think of Nebraska.
The name is cool, too! Go for it!

Would be a great name...
But, if 'Veritas' is already being used (I wouldn't be surprised if it is), try another Latin phrase. Ya know, a Latin phrase for "Not From A Cardboard Box Wine' or 'Better Than Rubbing Alcohol Wine' or 'At Least It's Not New Coke Wine' or 'I Can't Believe It's Not Dom Perignon Wine'. Something like that...
But, I really do like 'Veritas.'

Hi there,
Great name but I think someone here in South Africa has a Veritas range already. Check it out though, I may be wrong.
