I can see exactly where you were on the platform, MayB.  And I understand the awe of the Milky Way.  Everything else would naturally recede.

We all look for magic at least once.

Oh yes, the crap does fly...haha..   I liked your point about the timing of comedy and the unpredictability of an audience.  I guess the same applies to the writing of posts here on Blogit.  Or writing in general, for that matter.  That glow-worm scene sounds amazing.  I would've liked to see that.  I suppose it's not something that could be photographed, unless with very exceptional lux-and-filter type cameras that only National Geographic can afford.  Sounds great, anyway.

Joe Love, it just needed one creepy thing to happen and it would have been a halloween movie

Wow! This sounds like a heck of an evening. So, you went hiking with a gown on carrying torches?? That sounds like something in a movie!!!

Katray I think there are always regrets because we can't be everywhere
sometimes me must make hard choices and so we should regret what we gave up to get somewhere. I don't think regret is necessarily negative. I suspect you are the same. Regret to me seems wrapped up in the good things we did not quite reach or that we had to let go. Thank you for your kind comment

Regrets...Some say they're a waste of energy
but I think it's good to have a few. Richly descriptive and enjoyable post May.

Word.smith, once in a while you have to get out and this was perfect

It's strange where we find beauty QuirkyAlone
A glow worm is the larvae or maggot of a mosquito-like fly and I've read that a firefly is a beetle

what are glow worms--do you mean fireflies or is it something else?

Majroj, for a moment there anything seemed possible and all the normal stuff faded away to nothing.

Tapsel-T, thank you. I almost didn't go. I was tired and I hesitated and the next day I was so tired but it was worth it

Ca88andra, there was a connection somehow between the lights. All in all it left me feeling good

Dave Cryer, as things stand for me I might as well make a statement as I will likely never really fund it

it's the same with blogs too, some things fly - usually our crap

Doesn't an experience like that leave you wanting something to...happen?

Or the baseline of existence to change?

(Listen to Supertramp's "Long Way Home").

Thanks for the images.

The "party in the sticks" was so vivid, MayB.  Your words took me along.

Bright lights and glow worms - fabulous combination! For a moment I was there with you, sipping champagne and eaves dropping on the conversation.

Teaching is like your man's comedy note - same thing can fly or sink.

"Sometimes people make stuff to sell so that they can get back to making statements". That's me at the moment.

The bright lights sounded stunning. Stars and the moon always put all of everything back into perspective.

Nice to see you back.
