Corbin, you have it nailed exactly. The President makes the nominations, Congress advises and consents. President is a conservative, he should pick conservative judges.

glenn, I have no idea at all who you're talking about. I know of former UN ambassador Madeline Albright, is that who you're referring to?

Debbie, many thanks for the link. Isn't it interesting how somebody or something becomes "divisive" only when the one using that word is losing? I have yet to hear of a liberal Democrat calling him/herself divisive. As for his claim that evangelical Christians have taken over the party, I know they have a strong influence but I would hesitate to take it that far.
