this confirms it.
dementia has corroded my thinking machine. My mind is indeed a broken-toothed "flywheel in the ramshackle machinery of the awful truth." (with credit to Kurt Vonnegut for this analogy) ... This is a fine time to have developed a crush on a math/physics professor, and math was never my strong point. oh, woe!
