WriterofLight,

You are a mad-hatter! That George Bush is the President is not a problem for me! He is certainly a better spokesman for his personality than the rest of the crowd. He is actually a person I could hang out with if he were so inclined! But then we know better! The process allows him to roam the Planet unmolested by his ignorance! I want his madness stopped! Can't you see the point?

I have to admit George Bush is good for his friends and damn everybody else! John Kerry, Al Gore, Bill and Hilliary Clinton, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, the list is long,  on the other hand! What has these people done for anybody but themselves?

Thanks for reading!

Thank you, Corbin! The big fun on that meltdown was yesterday; see my posting for today, November 2.

Scoop, I was hoping for Janice Rogers Brown myself.

fwmystic, that's a very astute observation about the Miers nomination. I for one favored the full process for her. As for Alito, it's worth noting that he has received two unaimous confiormations to prior posts by the full Senate.

Glenn, I couldn't agree more about the crop of Democrats we have in the Senate. But I'm curious: What in particular offends you about "the whole process": Who was nominated? How the process works? Or, as I suspect, who does the nominating for the next three years?

Fwmystic,

Hmmm! Very interesting developments! But they will worm their way out of this one too! I am completely offended by the whole process! Both sides of the isle and the middle! George Bush is a de-former! He has further eroded the credibility of America and it's so-called-democracy. Start the Impeachment Process then I am convinced!

The problem: There are too many democrats as unfit to serve!

I have no quarrel with you expressing a preference ...
as to who sits on the Supreme Court. Ultimately, that decision will be made by 100 senators, many of them moderates who have to face re-election next year. But the Miers nomination has thrown out two of the Republicans most powerful agruments: that every nominee deserves an up-or-down vote and a that there is no litmus test.

You have a exceptional writing style........very smooth flow......

They are going to loose, and in the process waste additional political capital on this one....

It looks like our LIBDem friends in the Senate are already starting their self-imposed meltdown......

I don't know much about this guy but I really was hoping
for another woman to replace O'Connor and I thought the female judge from Texas would be the one.
