FactorFiction, one more thing. Actually, JFK was assassinated in 1963.

Factor Fiction, unfortunately, when it comes to the Rosa Parks incident and
all of the other aspects of the so-called Modern Civil Rights Movement, hardly any of the history books tell "The True Story" and "The Entire Story".

Yep
I need some ed-u-cay-shin... Back in the mid eighties the required history classes in my small city only taught up to World War II with any sort of depth.Oh then we skipped ahead to the fact that Kennedy was shot in 1964. And, that about wrapped up US History II.

Hi, Reni, my good friend. Missed you. However, with all due respect, the
Rosa Parks incident did a whole lot more harm to race relations in America than good. In future posts, I will cover some of the specifics.

FactorFiction, good to hear from you. And so far as Rosa Parks, there was
more to her than met the eye. She was NOT just an innocent little seamstress who got pissed off one day. That bus episode was orchestrated by some people who had an agenda ... an agenda that was not in the best interests of America.

Great post.
I do wonder how many times Rosa thought, "Why didn't I just move? This is so not worth the notoriety/publicity/etc." But then I would have been quite embarrassed rather than proud of my "historic" stance...how 'bout having your PMS be the start of a Civil Rights Movement...hehe... I don't recall that I have read her thoughts about the whole thing in her later years...

Tapsel-T, "RESTROSPECT"?! My mother voiced her opposition to the
Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 and 1956 while it was happening. And in addition to her, many other blacks back then regarded the endeavor as being nothing but a demonstration of blacks pleading with whites to cut them a little slack.
But all of the blacks who felt the way my mother and others did got shouted down by the civil-rights crowd and all of the Northeastern socialists and communists who were backing Parks, M.L. King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement ... and I could go on.
But anyway, it is real good to hear from you, my friend.

Kiddo, "where this goes" is the Civil Rights Movement was a folly; one of
the biggest ones in history. The endeavor was nothing but a waste of time, money and lives.
And thank you for welcoming me back. Thank you very much.
