sunjae,
Thanks for reading and for the thoughtful comment. My mom passed away 10 years ago. Like you, I miss her terribly and regret the times that I didn't see her when I should and could have, or when I did something to make her sad or upset while growing up. I (and my siblings) treasure my dad more than ever now and we are all in contact with him as much as possible, especially now that he has this awful cancer. We keep in contact and, though my brothers haven't been able to do much taking him for his treatments or doing things around his house and cooking for him because of distance or having too much responsibility already, they would drop everything at the drop of a hat if it became necessary. I know that Mom knows that we all love her and always have and I know that Dad knows that, too. That is a comfort.

My mom passed 15 years ago and we still miss her.. I do regret the times when I was angry at her for making me do things, missed out the times I should have spent with her.. she died of brain tumor..she was a wonderful loving mother.. strict but that's what mothers are for.. they love you too much till they can't stand to see you do bad things.. thanks for a great post to remind us not to take things for granted..

i am glad you got out of that horrid relationship. No one should ever come between your friends and family! Yes, you definitely know what you had, when you at last have lost it!!

Rame..
This is a great post and full of truths. Forgiveness is nessasary for our own happiness and never taking those we love for granted is very important. In my family we never miss the chance to tell eachother even if it is just a ' love Ya' at the end of a call or email.

RAME, there are several important lessons in this post: the importance of forgiveness of those who have harmed us, expressions of appreciation and not taking for granted those we love, gratefulness and thankfulness to God for the great people in our lives. Good post.
