Hey, Krisles
It's awfully quiet around here without your vibrant input. Hope your shoulder's not dragging you down too much. I'll think "good shoulder" thoughts for you.

Too bad Tom Hanks didn't have a suitcase like yours float ashore in that movie "Castaway," instead of ice skates and videotapes....lol

George HW Bush was shown in a store, looking at a scanner like he was the chimp in "2001" discovering fire. The rich really are not like you and me. We should all be sheltered from this cruel world, like Walmart, I'd never set foot in that labor union-busting, land-gobbling, slave-driven establishment myself again if I could avoid it.

Blanche,
If I had a maid, I'd never step inside a store. LOL. I only use make-up in extreme circumstances like a special date or if I have to speak at a convention. I'll clean up somewhat better then as long as there's someone there to help me get ready. Shadow

Myddrin,
You sound like a hunter, not a shopper. Shoppers browse, compare and ponder. Hunters bag their kill and take it to go. I'm more of a shopper. I like eyeshadow now. It gives me time to compose myself, doing makeup. I finally understand the appeal.

Blanche,
If I do happen to need something extra, I'll hit Wal-Mart, but, I'm a non-shopping type of person. I've spent too much time on the road to worry about too much luggage and I rarely wear make-up, too time consuming. Shadow

Myddrin,
My problem is the "what if" scenario. What if I really need that extra pair of sandals, paperback, blow dryer.... I never do.

Blanche,
Considering my past professions of truck driver and archaeologist, I figure why haul around extra stuff when you can just hit a laundry mat every couple of days. Shadow

Wow, Kris, sounds like packing took all your energy before you ever got
started on your trip. Glad to hear all is well with you.

Myddrin, it's taken me years to figure that out, the secret of travelling light.

Krisles,
My backpack holds a pair of jeans, change of undergarments, a couple of different shirts, and some energy bars. If people don't like it, then that's their problem. Shadow

Krisles,
I have that problem with suitcases: taking too much stuff. I almost never need everything I brought and lugging to around. It's a pain. I hope your shoulder's better.
